Instrument Simulator Package (Stage II)

Our Instrument Simulator Package provides 50 hours in an AATD Simulator and 50 hours of instrument instruction. The goal and reason behind the volume of training in this package connects directly to FAA Commercial Pilot requirements. Of the 250 required total hours of time to apply for a Commercial Pilot Certificate, 50 may be completed in an AATD.

“Flying” the simulator for such a lengthy period after instrument ground but before instrument flight training allows students to become completely proficient at flying by instruments for a fraction of the cost of learning so in the air. The ability to literally hit a pause button to ask questions and the advantage of continuing training without serious concern for weather or other typical flight training delays makes for a much more effective and efficient learning environment.

Though only 20 hours of the AATD time logged are credited toward an instrument rating, completing all 50 to ensure a student reaches complete mastery of instrument flying techniques, procedures and more allows actual instrument flight training and time-building to proceed at an unparalleled pace.

The price advertised here is only what is paid to The Flight School for this specific stage of training. The total Instrument Rating cost, as part of our program plan, is approximately $17,024.10 when pre-paying this package. This price includes Commercial Certificate time-building efforts.
