At The Flight School, a career-focused training program offers the training you need to progress from Discovery Flight to Flight Instructor and beyond, without the inflated costs other programs charge. Our intensive training plan guides you through your training quickly and effectively, helping you become a better pilot in less time and for less expense.
In order to help deliver a more accelerated, more effective and more efficient operation, we’ve instituted an application process for those interested in joining our accelerated, career-track programs.
Please note: we require all students complete a Discovery Flight before their application will be processed!
After your acceptance to our program, you’ll receive scheduling priority and be eligible for pre-pay discounts on accelerated training. Fly-as-you-go training is available to all, as are our time-building programs.
Our application requires uploading a number of documents. Items marked with an asterisk (*) are not required at this stage, but will be upon completion of Private Pilot Ground School and/or before flying solo.
After submitting your application, you should receive an email with further instructions! If accepted, you’ll be automatically added to our waitlist and can expect to receive a call from our Operations team to begin scheduling as soon as possible. The best way to pay for flight school is to not have to pay for flight school.
We strongly believe in universal access to education—even the sort of education that teaches you to fly airplanes—so The Flight School at Colorado Springs offers an ongoing scholarship program for advanced students. We’ve also compiled resources regarding additional scholarship opportunities.
The scholarship application remains open year-round. Applications are reviewed and awarded monthly.
Scholarship recipients receive discounted advanced aircraft rental rates through The Flight School at Colorado Springs for three months.
Scholarship Recipient Rates:
$135/h wet when flight training in our Mooney M20C
$0/h flight instruction
$30/h ground and simulator instruction
If used for both accelerated instrument and commercial training, The Flight School Scholarship can save over $6,000 in training costs. If additionally applied toward instructor ratings, the scholarship can save more than $1,000.
